Effleurage and Petrissage. The therapist will use Effleurage, long lighter massage, to warm the muscle and tissue up and then use Petrissage, a deeper pressure, using their palms, fingers, and thumbs to apply deep pressure to the underlying muscles. This helps to reduce injuries and to heal injuries the guest may already have.

Please note ***NO MASSAGE DURING THE FIRST TRIMESTER***Trigger points or “knots” are worked out during the massage session using targeted pressure on trigger points found in the shoulders, back, and hips. This type of massage can be uncomfortable for the guest so it’s important to communicate with your therapist during the session.

Energy can stagnate in the body, where the body has physical or emotional pain. Energy healing aims to help the flow of energy and to remove blocks in a way similar to acupuncture. The therapist will hold their hands lightly either on the body or just above the body for 2-3 minutes in an area and then continue to move around the body, usually from feet to head.
Please Note ***THIS IS NOT A MASSAGE***Body Scrub: This session will include a gentle exfoliation of the back and extremities to remove dead dry skin. The therapist will apply the salt or sugar scrub, then remove the scrub gently with warm towels, and then apply an excellent lotion to hydrate your skin.
Please Note ***MASSAGE IS NOT INCLUDED IN THIS TREATMENT***Cupping is a non-intrusive technique that focuses on deep tissue. Applying cups to selected points creates a sub-atmospheric pressure designed to lift and separate the tissue to help manage pain, inflammation, and blood flow and to stimulate relaxation. Cupping is known to help in sports recovery by speeding up the recovery/healing process through increased blood circulation. Cupping can cause bruising and soreness.
